Our Work
Women in Need Society (WINS) helps women and their families thrive by providing access to basic needs, emotional support, and employment training through our Community Support programs and services.
As a Calgary-based charity operating a social enterprise—combining purpose with sustainability—we reinvest revenue from our seven WINS Thrift Stores and the MORE Store into these programs and services, alongside the generous contributions from our community partners.

LEGACY STATEMENT
For year, WINS and Calgary’s INTER-FAITH FURNITURE SOCIETY had worked together with one common mission in heart – to serve those who are most in need in our community. The collaborative, inter-referral process between our agencies guaranteed that our mutual participants received household essentials at no cost, bringing warmth and comfort to thousands of Calgarians.
When INTER-FAITH FURNITURE SOCIETY permanently ended operations in 2023, their Board members generously donated their store’s inventory of furniture, household items, trucks, and equipment along with a monetary donation. Their donation was provided to support WINS in continuing its work in the community on behalf of both charities. The WINS team will always be honoured to have worked alongside an amazing charity like INTER-FAITH FURNITURE SOCIETY and forever grateful for all the support we received from them.
