  • Where do my items go? Do they get given away or sold?
At WINS, we have a dual approach for the items donated to us. First, through our House to Home program, we provide items to women and their families in need, ensuring they have essential household items to create a comfortable living environment. This program directly supports our mission of empowering women and their families. Additionally, we make items available for the general public to shop at our thrift stores. The funds generated from these sales play a crucial role in supporting our programs and services, allowing us to continue making a positive impact in the community.
  • Can I get a tax receipt estimate before I donate my items?
We usually fill-out a Donation Assessment Form which can only be done when you drop off the items. It is the Staff's discretion to assess the value of the donated items based on their condition so unfortunately we could not provide a rough estimate until we see the items beforehand.

This ensures that the goods we provide to individuals and families in need are of good quality and can be utilized effectively. Your thoughtfulness in donating items in good condition helps us make a positive impact in the lives of those we support.
  • If the goods are rejected at pickup, will they still be taken away?
